Welcome to my "about me" page, where you can learn all about Sol (me), the webmaster of Silver Solstice (the website you're currently on) (https://silversolstice.neocities.org/)
Silver Solstice is the current name of this page, but it used to be The Solar Studio, originally intended to be a page for my artwork and writing, it progressively evolved past that and became my personal website for... pretty much anything I want. I don't have strict plans for this website, I kinda do what I think is neat!
I first became interested in website hosting and coding because people on Tumblr told me to get a neocities site, and it seemed cool, so I listened. I became quickly obsessed with the creativity and uniqueness of every site on neocities, and decided to try to make my own. I've learned a lot since then, but I'm always learning as I go. This website will continuously update (if I don't forget), and I'll probably never be satisfied with it. I'm an artist, after all!
So a little about me: I'm 17, still in high-school but trying my best to survive. My birthday is on August 13th. I'm an artist and a writer, I aspire to work in comics, but for now I'm just trying to make it to college. Besides coding, I like to do basically anything that'll fill my time: crocheting, scrapbooking, journaling, playing guitar, browsing neocities, watching shows and movies, etcetera. Most of my friends are online, and I go out with my IRLs once in a while. Believe it or not, I actually like it that way!
TBH, I'm pretty used to spending time alone, so I guess coding was the perfect hobby for me.
As you might've been able to tell, I'm a huge Sonic fan, and a lot of stuff in this site references that. I have other interests, but Sonic has been the most significant one in my life so far.
Maybe I'll make a shrine some day, who knows
Among my other interests, I like collecting things; mostly DVDs, but I also have a book with business cards I've collected at art events. I go to those all the time. Gotta support your local artists!
I consider myself pretty driven politically, as someone queer, mentally ill, and honestly just weird overall, I believe I should care about politics. I'll go to marches whenever I can, a lot of my art is political, I wouldn't be who I am without my interest in making (at the very least) my country a better place. Argentina numero uno :)
